Biography:
Originally drafted by Philadelphia in the seventh round (213th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft, Fanaika spent the first 11 weeks on the Eagles’ practice squad before being signed to the Washington Redskins’ active roster on November 23. While with the Redskins he was inactive for five contests and active for the season finale.

A four-year letterman at Arizona State University (2005-08), Fanaika started 35 of 48 games during his collegiate career, garnering All-Pac-10 honorable mention honors as both a sophomore and senior. Born on April 9, 1986, the 6-5, 327-pounder is a native of Milbrae, Calif., where he attended Mills High School.
